RU SCI TECH Forum 2014 is the initiative of a grouping of scientists, academics and entrepreneurs working at a number of leading UK educational institutions, research and evolution centres and business concern enterprises. This conference is mainly supported by the Russian Corporation JSC "RTI" and Skolkovo Constitute of Science and Technology (Skoltech).


Michael Lukin
Manager at Cambridge Technology Innovations (Cambridge, UK). Graduate of Moscow Institute of Electronics Engineering science (MIET), Zelenograd (MSEE), and the Open University (MBA). Michael was involved in the wireless technology applied to a broad range of industries, including energy and healthcare. He is a fellow member of the Wireless Healthcare SIG within Cambridge Wireless business concern network. Michael also works with engineering start-ups in the area of strategy development, commercialisation and business concern acceleration.

Ksenia Afonina
Ksenia holds PhD in economics (Russia), MBA (Germany), CIM diploma in marketing (Great britain), IDM diploma in digital marketing (Britain). Throughout her professional person career Ksenia has held cardinal direction positions at companies in Russia, Frg and the Uk. She has a proven runway tape of initiating and delivering successful new business development projects and forming international collaborations with Russian companies and institutions. Ksenia is a President of Cambridge Russian-Speaking Society and a Research Fellow of Cambridge Central Asia Forum.

Andrei Starinets
Dr Andrei Starinets, University Lecturer in Theoretical Physics, Physics Department, University of Oxford and Tutorial Fellow, St. John's College. Graduate of the Department of Physics, Moscow State Academy (1991), Cand Sci (Moscow State University, 1994), PhD (New York University, 2001). Research interests: applications of string theory methods to strongly interacting quantum systems at finite temperature and density. Awards: Maxwell medal and prize of the UK Institute of Physics (2011). One of the authors of the Open letter to the political leadership of Russian Federation "Primal scientific discipline and the future of Russia" (2009)

Tatiana Schofield
Tatiana Schofield graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering University with a degree in electrical engineering. Tatiana has an MBA from Warwick Business School (United kingdom) and is a Member of the Chartered Constitute of Marketing (Uk) with a Chartered Marketer condition. Early on career is in applied inquiry in microprocessor electronics and calculator aided design.Over the last 15 years Tatiana has been belongings senior management roles in leading universities and professional organisations in the UK. Her roles included international business development, project management of large-scale international projects between universities and industry and inquiry commercialisation. Areas of professional interest: knowledge transfer models, technology transfer, open innovation, cross-cultural leadership.

Andrei A. Seryi
Director of the John Adams Institute for Accelerator Science, University of Oxford and Royal Holloway University of London, United kingdom. Fellow of the American Physical Social club. Graduate of the Novosibirsk Country University, PhD in physics from Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics. Primary interests: develop applications of accelerator science for discovery science, for industry, healthcare and energy applications.

Anatoli Korkin
Anatoli Korkin is an Associate Research Professor at Arizona State University and President of Nano & Giga Solutions.
Anatoli obtained his Principal Degree in chemistry from D.Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and his PhD in physics from Moscow Lomonosov State Academy. Dr Korkin has an extensive experience in computational and physical chemistry and industrial research in process & material design for avant-garde electronics and solar free energy materials. Dr Korkin's entreprenerial activities include organising conferences and seminars, consulting in technology commercialisation, education, science and executive management for outset-upward companies.

Vyacheslav Kalchenko
Dr Vyacheslav Kalchenko (Dr., PhD., Russia. PostDoc, State of israel. Prof. Diploma in Management, UK).
Earlier returning to academia he was R&D Manager and Startup consultant (Russia, China, Israel).
Currently he is a Staff Scientist (tenured) at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. Fellow of Royal Microscopical Lodge, Great britain.
He manages In vivo Optical Imaging Unit of measurement (Institutional Core Facility).
Chief interests: molecular imaging, biomedical engineering and computer vision.

Dmitriy Ponkratov
Dr.-Eng. Dmitriy Ponkratov is a Senior Consultant at Lloyd'southward Register of Shipping, London, UK. Graduate of St Petersburg State Marine Technical University (MSc, PhD). Dmitriy also holds an Acquaintance Professor position at Aalesung University College, Norway. Throughout his professional person carrier Dmitriy was involved into research projects in Russian federation, Cathay, Norway and the Britain. He is a vice-president of Norwegian Association of Russian-Speaking specialists and a member of Royal Institution of Naval Architects, London, Great britain.

Stas Samarin
Senior Analyst at Limited Scripts – the largest Pharmacy Benefit Management Company in N America. Stas has extensive experience in strategy development, innovation direction, technology transfer and commercialization of new products in healthcare and biotech industries on a scale from start-up ventures to a Fortune 25 Company.
Stas is a graduate from Lomonosov Moscow Land University. He holds Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Biophysics at the Russian Academy of Sciences (joint effort with the French National Center for Scientific Enquiry (CNRS)) and Executive MBA from Olin Business concern School at Washington Academy in St. Louis (USA).

Mikhail Fifty. Antonkin
Mikhail L. Antonkin (Antonkine), Scientific Officer, Section of Health Inquiry and Biotechnology, Bavarian Research Alliance, Nuremberg, Federal republic of germany. Graduate of the Higher Chemistry College of the Russian University of Sciences (Thou.Sc. in Chemistry, 1997) and the Pennsylvania Land University (Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Molecular Biology, 2001). Equally an independent group leader in Free University of Berlin and Max-Planck Society investigated fe-sulfur proteins by nuclear magnetic and electron paramagnetic resonance techniques. Current primary interests: development, support and reviewing of European and national (Federal republic of germany, Poland, Russia) grant proposals aimed at funding outstanding scientists, universities as well as innovative small and medium-sized companies.

Yuri Ermoline
Yuri Ermoline (PhD, Lausanne) works at CERN under contract with the Michigan State Academy. Expert in electronics technology for scientific applications.
Graduate of St. petersburg Mechanical Institute "Voenmech", St.Petersbourg, Russian federation. Worked at the Establish for Loftier Energy Physics (IHEP), Protvino, Moscow region, University of Birmingham, UK,
University of Lausanne, Zurich University, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, President of Russian-Swiss Scientific Association (RSSA, www.r-ssa.ch)

Sergey Ketov
Sergey Ketov was born in Tomsk in 1960, graduated the physics department of Tomsk State University (1982), postgraduate school at Tomsk Country Academy in the department of theoretical physics and the Physics Plant of the Academy of Sciences in Moscow, PhD thesis (1986), senior researcher of the Universe at the University of Tokyo, practiced at Nihon Gild for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), a specialist in quantum field theory, supersymmetry, supergravity and cord theory, author of four books and over 170 papers in leading scientific journals and publishing houses. Has experience in leading inquiry centers (CERN in Switzerland; Max-Planck Constitute for Physics and Max-Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Federal republic of germany); organizer of a series of international conferences on field theory and string theory in Japan, USA , Deutschland and Russia , the good programme " mega- grants " Government of the Russian Federation (2011-2013)
