Use Skyride on the 3rd level to connect between terminals, parking garages and MIA Mover Station.

Automated Solutions for Entering the United States

Miami International Airport is using the latest technological advancements to make entering the United States quicker and easier. These automated solutions help travelers expedite the entry process.

Simplified Arrival

Simplified Arrival is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that expedites the international arrivals process, using facial biometrics to automate the manual document checks already required for admission into the U.S. CBP is committed to its privacy obligations and has taken steps to safeguard the privacy of all travelers, limiting the amount of personally identifiable information used in the facial biometric process. This program will be replacing the Automated Passport Control (APC) program previously implemented at MIA. Learn more here.

Global Entry

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows for expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Participants may enter the United States by using automated kiosks. To sign up for Global Entry, visit the CBP website.

Mobile Passport Control Application

Mobile Passport Control enables U.S. citizen and Canadian citizen travelers to submit their passport and Customs declaration information through their smartphone instead of the traditional paper form. The Mobile Passport Control app is free to download and free to use. For more information, visit the Mobile Passport Control App website.

TSA Pre✓™

TSA Pre✓™ is an expedited screening initiative that is expanding to airports across the country. Implementing a key component of the agency's intelligence-driven, risk-based approach to security, TSA Pre✓™ enhances aviation security by placing more focus on pre-screening individuals who volunteer to participate to expedite the travel experience.

TSA is partnering with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as well as U.S. air carriers as part of this initiative. Certain frequent flyers from Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, US Airways and certain members of CBP's Trusted Traveler programs, including Global Entry, SENTRI, and NEXUS who are U.S. citizens are eligible to participate.

TSA Pre✓™ is currently available for eligible passengers flying on participating airlines at these 16 airports.
